Sherman Elementary School "FRIEND-IN-DEED" Book Donations update
Written by Janis Lindsey Sherman Elementary School is in its second year of sponsoring the donation of new books for the "Friend-in-Deed" program. "Friend-in-Deed" serves over 2500 families in our communities with food, toys and books for the holidays. Books are an important part of every child's education, and our program helps put books into the hands of children who would otherwise go without. This holiday season a total of 1754 books were collected for needy children in the
SES PTO would like to thank all of the kids and their families for their hard work during the November pie sales. So far Sherman Elementary is the top selling school in the nation! All prize winners will be announced on November 22nd during the morning announcements by Mrs Lindsey. Prizes being handed out include:
- top selling class-pizza party & tokens for Scheels ferris wheel
- top selling boy-large Lego set
- top selling girl-American Girl Doll
- overall top seller-iPod Touch
Drawings include:
- selling one pie for a $50 Scheels gift card
- selling five pies for a Nintendo 3D DS
- selling at least one "Pie of Appreciation" for $50 ToysRUs gift card
- selling 10+ pies - two winners for the "Home Run Challenge" Cardinal pictures
